Be my Valentine/anti-Valentine!
In spirit of the 14th, NPR put together a Valentine's mix tape (images of Neal Conan singing Aretha Franklin's "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" are fleshing in my head) and tells us why Hollywood doesn't make romantic comedies like it used to. If you like sarcasm, vd.meish.org is marching on with its oldy but goody e-cards. "You'll do" indeed.

I am not a stalker, and neither a solicitor. I went to the same “secondary” (euphemism for elementary + middle + high) school N2 in Donetsk as your mom did. Your mom’s maiden name is Bleykhman, right? And I am Tanya Mestechkina, but since I was one year younger, she wouldn’t remember me.
You probably never heard about http://www.odnoklassniki.ru, a website that became phenomenally famous in the last year or so. Finally it caught up with me as well. And there I was found by your mom’s old school mate – Olia Shepit’ko / Azarova (Ольга Шепитько / Азарова). I understand that their year (class) is planning a big reunion and your mom was almost the only significant person missing. Being a computer person and on “that” side of the fence, I volunteered to do a little research. Thanx to oh-so-loved Google, here we are!
